Program Information
BGSU's Master of Science in Criminal Justice (MSCJ) degree program emphasizes the development of individuals for leadership roles in criminal justice agencies, while providing those students who wish to continue their academic career with a solid base upon which to pursue doctoral level study. It is also excellent preparation for those who wish to pursue a career in teaching.
The program instills a solid background in both theory and research, which prepares our graduates to better understand the challenges facing them as participants in the criminal justice field.
Through the MSCJ program, you will obtain a solid understanding of theories and issues in law enforcement, corrections, courts and juvenile justice. To successfully complete the program, you will take 11 courses and complete a final capstone project. A course list and descriptions may be found in the program brochure.
